More and more often, Abby, you are alert. You’re starting to get out of the constantly sleepy newborn phase and opening your beautiful eyes for longer and longer each day. But what are you looking at? What do you see? What are you thinking?
When you see us, do you think of us as “Mom and Dad” or as “Food Source and Not Food Source”? I hope you feel safe when you see us. Because that’s our job: keeping you safe, with a little bit of education and comfort thrown in. We hope you always feel safe around us.
What do you see when you look at Aric? Do you see how much he loves you already? Do you see the little things he does for you to try to make you feel better, like playing your Glow Worm when you’re crying, or putting your toy elephant in your crib so you have easy access? He absolutely adores you, Abby, and I can already see he’ll do anything for you.
What do you see when you look at our house? Do you see comfort? We hope that our house is always a place you feel happy coming home to. You should be able to relax, sleep soundly, in our house. We take pride in it, so I hope you like what you see.
What do you see, Abby, when you explore the world around you?
