A List with Bullets

  • School has started up again. This means that I have no idea how often I’ll want to blog. This semester I’m taking Educational Psychology and Behavior Management for Diverse Classrooms. I’m STOKED about the first one, since it will be taking everything I learned in undergrad (I was a psych major) and applying it to education. I’m also excited for the second one because it takes things that I’m doing for my job right now and applies it to education. PERFECT :)
  • Aric is doing awesome. He had some kind of developmental/growth spurt in December. He’s talking SO MUCH more than before. It’s still not what other kids his age are probably talking, but he’s putting 2-3 words together and I understand his language about 70% of the time (other people only understand him about 15% of the time).
  • Oh, and he knows his letters now. ::mind explosion:: The dude can’t talk much, but he knows most of the alphabet.
  • I am CONSTANTLY amazed by that little dude.
  • I bought a new laptop. It rocks so hard. I bought it because this semester, my classes are in person instead of online.
  • And then one of my professors wrote on her syllabus that laptops are banned from her classroom. Turns out, though, that her syllabus was copy/pasted from her undergrad syllabus. I guess kids just can’t stay away from the Facebook.
  • My sister Lindsay is leaving soon to start her Semester at Sea. I’m so completely, unbelievably jealous. She started a blog to chronicle her trip. You should follow it if you want to live vicariously through her like I do.
  • In one of my classes this week, as a getting to know you activity we had to say what we wanted to go before we got too old. I said I wanted to take Tim to Prague to experience their infamous nightlife. I was once in Prague. I had the chance to experience said nightlife. We used the buddy system so we wouldn’t get kidnapped. My buddy wanted to go home after the first bar. The one just outside our hostel. I was NOT pleased.
  • It’s Friday. This week has kicked my ASS. I’m ready for my wine, please!
